India's newest opinion gathering technology startup, Prashnam conducted 2 surveys with the simple question - Who will you vote for?
First survey was conducted on 2nd August 2020
3274 registered voters in Bihar in 240 assembly constituencies responded.
Result:
46% said JDU+BJP alliance.
23% said RJD+INC alliance.
31% were undecided.
Second survey was conducted on 1st October 2020
3478 registered voters in Bihar in 238 assembly constituencies responded.
Result:
38% said JDU+BJP alliance.
28% said RJD+INC alliance.
34% were undecided.
The BJP/JDU alliance lost 8 percentage points of support in two months.
A significant percentage of voters in Bihar are not committed yet to either of the two alliances.
Survey Method: Samples were selected in a randomised and stratified manner using scientific techniques. Respondents cover almost all assembly constituencies and thus variations across districts, caste, age and gender have been accounted for.
Opinions were gathered using interactive voice response technology.
Margin of Error: The results have a 99% confidence level, with a plus or minus 3% margin of error.
Verifiable Results: The unique thing about Prashnam opinion surveys are that it is a "Do It Yourself" engine that allows anyone to verify and validate the survey results through a randomised process.
