80% of WhatsApp users don't know or care about its new privacy policy

Prashnam conducted a survey of 2251 WhatsApp users across Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu on their awareness of the Privacy policy change and if they would switch to another app.

Results:

47% felt it was not a big issue

32% had not even heard of the issue

21% said they would use something else

Respondents in Hindi speaking states were more likely to switch in a stark contrast to Tamil Nadu, where only 10% said they would switch. 17% and 25% users in Maharashtra and Kerala said they'd switch.

Survey Details: Respondents: 2251 Whatsapp users across all districts of Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu .

Samples were selected in a randomised and stratified manner using scientific techniques.

Margin of Error: The results have a 95% confidence level, with a plus or minus 5% margin of error.
